Note that this date is NOT the same one as the calendar in the "sticky" section, it's the previous weekend. No big deal but if you do like I do and put all the dates on your phone early in the year, you'll have the wrong date, and could miss the show.

Re: Oaks, PA October 21, 22, 23 100 Station Ave, Phoenixville, PA 19460
we were thinking on skipping this one due to the poor outcome of the last Oaks show (lack of advertising, low attendance, etc.) and the outrageous cost just to get there. however, we are getting tons of used stuff in (33 last week) that range from high end to entry level, milsurps to Bambi blasters, wheel guns, custom built guns, etc. We will be bringing every thing we can pack into our vehicles and are hoping that the show is advertised enough so that restaurants a couple hundred yards from the show know that it is going on.

Groovy, I'll be looking for my POOFER discount. I was yakking with a vendor at the Morgantown show (which was pretty much a bust by the looks of things) and he told me that he saw billboards on the tpk, 422 and somewhere else. I don't get any newspapers any more so I don't know if they advertise in them or not.

There is usually some advertising on FM radio 102.9 and maybe others.
Good job dannyb for getting the correct dates. The pinned post of the Eagle schedule should be edited or removed.
The summer shows in this area are always slow. This one should be a good one. come and get it.

I will be there that Saturday. Even if I don*t buy anything, I always enjoy killing time at them.

As with Marines55, we are doing the show with some reservations. The last couple have not been what they should have been considering the venue and the costs.
Many of us dealers/vendors are awaiting the business trends the next few months to see if the downturn is general economy or due to the summer slow season or other factors.
Please stop by and visit. We're always happy to see you.

Re: Oaks, PA October 21, 22, 23 100 Station Ave, Phoenixville, PA 19460
We advertise every show we (Eagle Shows) do. Oaks gets the most. Our budget for each Oaks show is....a lot. Tons and tons of billboards, radio, news paper. We are working on some other interesting ideas as well. I don't recall if the previous June or if it was August, but our main radio station pulled our ads on 3 of the 4 stations they own because of "political pressure." They are back on for this go round. We are 50 tables shy from full capacity for a 3 hall show. We've even contemplated opening the "D & E" Halls that would give us room for a couple hundred more tables.
June and August were very similar in attendance. Summer shows, no matter how much advertising, are going to be slower than winter shows. We consider Guntoberfest to be the start of the gun show season. Attendance is historically up from this show on through April or May. This is also the largest vendor turn out since the beginning of Covid so we are excited to see the results for everyone.
