Don*t know why I keep humoring contempt of belief. This stuff has been out for all to see given a bit of research. Instead of blind following. QC issues? On an AR??

    Here is a *Colt* upper.
    https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1022754230

And here is a *lowly*, unmarked upper. Labeled as *Government Contract*. I*ve used these for 8 years. Look close compared to the Colt. You should see something.
    https://www.surplusammo.com/products...-receiver.html Look close.

Here is a Genuine *Colt* M4 Barrel assembly with an F-marked sight block.
    https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1022851755?pid=965733

Now, here*s a Stag M4 Barrel. Same 1:7 twist.. same F-marked sight block. I don*t mean same as in *alike* one another.. No, I mean the SAME! As in these Barrels, F-markedsight blocks, barrel nut & supporting parts were produced in the SAME factories!

So why the price difference? Because one has Colt Stamped. Well, I*ve shown this before with parts. With BCG*s & such.

What*s wrong with just wanting a pony on your receiver? I know I paid extra for it. So what?

Some people don’t see the enjoyment of doing things like that. They’ll say you want a pony get an Anderson.

I’ve got ars that tan me 600 bucks. I’ve got several that are over 2500. Hell I’ve got one that fully kitted out is over 5k and I’m sure there are people that think I’m an idiot for spending so much

Again you failed to answer the question. I*m not talking about buying parts and building a gun which you can*t seem to grasp.

It was a real simple question yet gets deflected into *I can build an AR better than any Colt*.

I can also do that. I*m talking about buying a gun off the shelf, gunbroker etc.

Colt is still the "gold standard" if you think it is. In my mind it is standard, not necessarily "gold standard". Your money your rifle, my money . . .

It not something I came up with, this has been talked about and debated for many years.

My opinion remains, it*s a hard rifle to beat for the price. Now there*s so many choices as compared to 10-15 years ago. Obviously there are better guns, and you*ll pay for that, there are also guns that I wouldn*t waste my money on that are not much cheaper.

No nevermind to me..anybody who wants to buy a rifle because of a name or a logo, go for it. Pay more for the same thing exact thing. Ignorance makes certain individuals believe something is better because it cost more, and will even ignore facts thrown at them. Very similar to Stg5 TDS. LOL! I like to build all my own firearms. I understand that*s not something everyone can do. But AR*s aren*t even built! They are assembled! I mill Billet Lowers which makes it slightly it slightly more a custom thing. (Same thing ALL manufacturers are doing!) But most of the time it*s just assembling. Colt, Spikes, Aero, BCM & we retry much every other manufacturer, are using the SAME EXACT PARTS in their MilSpec Carbines. They don*t make the Receivers, LPK parts, BCG*s, buffers, Springs, Front Sight Blocks, A2 Flash Hiders OR*. BARRELS! Some exceptions on Barrels, such as FN. This is a fact. I don*t care if anyone doesn*t believe. Arguing a nay-sayer is that of arguing a child. They think they know, but have no idea!
