Right there's the problem, based on personal experience with officers at gun clubs to which I belong, and have belonged. Not all GC officers at every club, but every club seemed to have more than the normal distribution of the population would dictate.

The reciprocity information on this site has not been updated in at least a decade. Do not trust it.

Never trust the reciprocity information found on any website (NRA, USCCA, Handgunlaw.us, etc.). Check directly with the offficial webpage of the states you intend to carry in to ensure that you will be carrying legally. And also check if state law preempts local law, as it generally does in PA. Just my 2 cents.

Yes, that's good advice. Some of the sites you mention update their information frequently, though, while Poofa hasn't in at least a decade.

The biggest problem is people want an answer to their question and they want it right in front of them when they ask. When it comes to the carry laws you have to read about them. Verify everything you read on the internet. When We started Handgunlaw.us almost 17 years ago I wanted the information that I needed and I thought People needed to stay legal in the states they wished to carry in. That is why Handgunlaw.us has the laws quoted with a link to that law or Administrative Rule on the different subjects you have to know about. There are links to the AG and the states Issuing agency or agencies. Links to their reciprocity law and or their listing of states they honor or that honor them. Links you need to verify information that you heard. Again verify the law before you carry as you are the one who will pay the price for misinformation!

I have found that the usacarry.com map is updated very quickly after changes, like VA changing back and forth, and Ohio change.
