As far as hanging, here are 2.

The conveyor belt straps came with the targets.
The thin poly rope was a quick solution and holds up remarkably well.

This is for close shooting with handguns, not at distance with rifles.

I'm having a problem getting a link for the different sounds some steel targets make as they are hit

Buy once, cry once...and own the AR500 steel for a lifetime. You won't be saying the same about mild steel. Old fire hose can be had...look on Craigslist. You can buy pallets of it from Repurposed Materials. Joeseph Fazzio has suplus AR400 and sometimes AR 500 steel...in sheets or pieces. If you buy a larger sheet, you can have them cut it down for you.

There is no reason to compromise yourself or those shooting around you, using mild steel. I shoot AR 500 steel all the time and even then we get spalling/fragmentation which comes back at us. Wear glasses at all times...but you know that.

Before the prices of steel went up I bought a lot of replacement parts from several different plate companies online...I ended up making my own plate racks, dueling trees and popper targets. All are AR 500 steel and canted so the bullet fragments all deflected downward.

    Have fun.

You get what you pay for. Between ebay sellers and the various AR500 target companies running sales for any reason they can think of there is no reason not to just buy good targets and stands that will last a very long time.

Shootsteel.com sells AR500 with a T mount, slips onto the top of a T fencepost.

I have the 8" circle tha comes with a strip to protect the post.

    Pistols - 10 yards

    Short action 100 yards

    long actions 200 yards

    no magnium rifle

The T post stays put and I mount it when I want to shoot.

Judging by the impacts on the protector, I would have shot the T post off by now.

One guy brings out his plate 2x as thick but does his AR at 50 yards with out damage and he spent a lot more.

    This^^^^

    I bought an 1/2" AR500 8" x 8" Gong for $20.98 and a AR500 3/8" X 6"Gong for $16 off e-bay with free shipping and a 1/2" ar500 10" Gong at Rural King for $29+/-
I've set these up at a few of the group shoots and they have taken a lot of hits and still look fine

I wish I'd remember where I got them.

I can't think I've heard any others that ring like that..

Any pistol hit rings nice an loud and pretty long.

The other 2 on that vid barely make noise.

    Those are 3/8" 500
