    November 16, 2008

Lehighton state police have issued a press release saying a loaded Dan Wesson .357 caliber model 15 pistol was lost in the area of Box 5534 Ross Road in Ross Township at noon on Wednesday.

Police did not provide further details or identify the gun's owner. Anyone with information is asked to call the state police Lehighton barracks at (610) 377-4270.

The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

Say what??? How you would ever reach that conclusion with the two lousy sentences in that article is beyond my comprehension.

People lose all types of stuff on a daily basis.

The news article is extrememly vague, "lost" could be stolen for all we know so I think its a tad early to toss the guy in drug rehab.

it's entirely possible that he's not a drunk, a druggie, or completely retarded. i haven't lost a gun myself...yet. but i have a bad habit of "misplacing" my things.

A guy I know lost his handgun.
    A Kel-Tec P32, to be exact.

He reported it missing, then months later, when going through some things, he discovered it. He had moved, and at some point, the tiny pistol got placed/packed with items it should not have been with.

He called the police and let them know they could update their paperwork.
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

How about the veteran Easton cop that goes in the bathroom to take a dump while having lunch at the Lone Star in Wilson. Lays his weapon on the toilet paper dispenser and forgets it. By the time he remembers, it`s gone.
I spent half the day looking for stuff I just had.

The article put the gun's owner in a bad light.
I have seen an off duty cop loose a PPK on a ride at an amusment park. He did not know it until the ride attendant held it up and ask if it belonged to someone.
Personaly, I have never lost a gun. I did loose a good Swiss Army knife on a hike when I was aout 10.
