Re: Kamala Harris can’t wait to cast vote to end Filibuster
I used to view all of this as conspiracy, but I've come to believe it is true. If the filibuster is gone, 50 votes + Harris can be used to slam through legislation that will incrementally crush all opposition. Voting laws, tax laws, disinformation laws, gun restriction laws, and on and on and on. Prepare for misery if Dems get 52 seats in the Senate. They will legislate any opposition to their radical leftist agenda right out of existence.

Correct, though I only mentioned the Senate, the same philosophy applies. The House is already there though, so if the Senate 'falls' to the Dems, the road will become rather rough. Complete leftist control. They will create tyranny while proclaiming to be protecting us from it. Isn't that how it always goes?

Re: Kamala Harris can’t wait to cast vote to end Filibuster
I think the D's have shot themselves in the foot for any more support from Manchin on non-rote legislation. After they got him to vote for the 'inflation reduction' act (don't get me started...) they're backpedaling on their deal with him to put through reform of energy leases in return.
I have no illusions about Manchin being a 'friend'. His 'moderate' status is strictly based on needing to pacify his electorate. But he'll never do a deal with Schumer (and by proxy, Biden) again.
Much hinges on whether he's planning to run again in 2024. If yes, he needs to hew right to have any chance with WV voters. If he's done and ready to 'take his toys and go home' that dynamic falters. BUT I think getting publicly ass-raped by the House D's on the leases legislation is all-bets-off IMHO. It's a situation where Schumer should have told Pelosi "Get your house in order! (pun intended) we made a deal..." and if you think the deal wasn't done with Pelosi's connivance, you're naive. I don't think he'll swap to R even though he's really little-different from left-side R's like Murkowski or Collins... but 'deal making' is done.DGAF
