Ruger No. 1 and No. 3
Are there any No. 1 and No. 3 fans or collectors out there? Does anyone hunt with them?

I have a No.1 laminated stainless in 25-06. I have knocked a few deer off with her.

I am very fond of the NO. 1 although I do not have ANY in my collection. I plan on purchasing one in .338 for an elk hunt out west in about five years.

I have taken a few groundhogs with a buddies No1V, and have shot another guys in .270. I love them dang Rugers.

Re: Ruger No. 1 and No. 3
I have a Stainless Laminated No.1 in 300 win mag. crazy accurate typically 3 shots cutting the same hole at 100 yd. only drawback is its a heavy SOB, when you carry it around the woods all day you know you carried something. I am hunting deer with it this year cause my new hawkeye 280 is not as accurate as i want it (consistanty 3-4 inch groups at 100 yd) hand loads factory ammo different stock, bedded action dosnt matter, next step is a different scope- kinda dissapointed in that but its headin back to Ruger if I rule out a bum scope, and its a Leopold VX111 so its prob a bum rifle
