    Question School me on this

    I always wanted to get an M1 carbine before I croak. Going through the adds I saw several that said NIB. How can rifle made in the 40s be new in box ?

    Various companies made copies of that temperamental little beastie. The copies are not military carbines.

    Keep away from Universal. Early ones were ok and made with surplus parts but late model ones are jam-o-matics.
