Default NEW Smith & Wesson M&P9 M2.0 METAL Pistol

    https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/...-metal-pistol/

"The performance that began with our polymer construction is now forging forward. The lightweight and rigid metal frame of the Smith & Wesson M&P9 M2.0 Metal provides an extraordinary foundation for higher performance."

The new Smith & Wesson M&P9 M2.0 METAL is a striker-fired pistol chambered in 9x19mm and fed from 17-round magazines. The frame lacks a thumb safety and features an 18-degree grip angle, textured polymer front strap, reversible magazine release button, ambidextrous wide slide stop and standard 1913/Picatinny accessory rail. Both the aluminum frame and stainless steel slide of the pistol have a Cerakote finish of Tungsten Gray color. The slide is optics cut, has front serrations and is fitted with steel white dot front and rear sights. The 4.25″ stainless steel barrel has a 1:10″ twist rate and Armornite finish. The pistol comes with an M2.0 flat face trigger and enhanced sear. The overall length of the M&P9 M2.0 METAL pistol is 7.4″ and it weighs in at 30oz which is a little over 5oz heavier compared to a polymer-framed M&P M2.0.

Smith & Wesson M&P9 M2.0 METAL pistol is listed on the company’s website at an MSRP of $899 - https://www.smith-wesson.com/product...cl-Custom+Link

I'm a big fan of the M&P. Especially cheap used ones. Never had any issues with any of mine. This one will definitely be on my used gun radar down the road.

Looks like they spray painted a polymer gun with Rustoleum.

Seems odd to create a gun for the anti-polymer crowd.
I figured most of them are dead of old age by now.

I need to find someplace that rents the M&P, Springfield XDm, and SIG P320, all in 10mm, so I can try them before I decide which one to buy. If I want any of them.

Sig 220 Legion in 10mm is nice. I swear it recoils less than a 1911. XDM is snappier.

Competitive shooting has seen a Resurgence in the metal guns. My guess is this is a precursor to a comp m&p.
