I just received my NJ CCW and want to get the CCW for Pa. What county in Pa. can issue and is it mandatory to get the CCW in person. It isn*t clear to me in anything that I have read.

For NJ, was a lot of paperwork 3classes for a total of about 4 hours (safety class and holster draw class -optional). 3 references, fingerprints, 4 pictures, qualify with the weapon you want to carry . Submit to local PD and for me 20 days later I have the permit. The only strange thing is you can only carry what you qualified .

NY is weapon specific to own and carry.

That issue was brought up a few months ago and some were saying (apparently mistakenly) that just because you qualified with a certain handgun, didn't mean you were restricted to that.
