    Default Which hunting scope $300

Picked up a new 3006 and I’m in the market for some good optics for approximately $300.

In that price range, I'd be looking either vortex or primary arms. Both will have something pretty decent around that.

Hunting scope, or general use? If my budget is $300 max & it*s just for hunting, I*d get the Leupold VX-Freedom either 3-9x40 or 4-12x40.

For general use & $300 budget, I*m grabbing either a SWFA SS 12x42 or Primary Arms 4-14x44.

    SWFA 12x42

These answers are spot on. Or look for an older Japanese made Weaver.

    Vortex
    Primary Arms

The Burris Fullfield 2.5-10x42 is under $200, has nice clear glass, won*t fog and has repeatable adjustments.
