Figures. I paid full retail price for the original when they were unobtanium....and I was dumb enough to buy two of them.

Anyone looking to sell their Shield regular for $199 to buy a nice new plus; I'm your huckleberry! (at least in NEPA)

No, but I will trade it for a plus, if you're interested.

Now the bad... The trigger safety on mine had to be sanded and I spent 10 minutes doing it. The 'block' that hits the frame and stops the trigger just needed the edges rounded ever so slightly so it wouldn't get hung up if my finger placement on the blade safety wasn't perfect. Used 600 and then 1000 grit I think in a tiny strip threaded behind the blocking mechanism. Worked perfectly. So if you don't have 10 minutes and $1 worth of sand paper, keep looking

I think this was only necessary because my natural finger placement is near the top of the trigger and blade safety. Most probably won't have this issue, but if so it's easy to tune.
Very interesting, I ran into this as well and was curious if anyone else had.

Don't feel too bad, they were the best option on the market for a long time.

Yup go ahead and do the sanding. It's a good idea to eliminate a failure point if in a rapid deployment your grip / presentation gets screwed up.

The shield plus is my daily carry. Excellent gun to shoot, extremely accurate. Highly recommend. Haven't run into any of the trigger issues mentioned above.

It's even worse. I sent one of them off to APEX for a trigger job and night sights. I think it was another $400 or so....plus the FedEx shipping both ways. Ugh.
