Re: Your AR optics, irons, RD, Holo, Scope
I'm a big fan of the Primary Arms ACSS reticle. Most of my rifles have either a 1-6 or 1-8 PA LPVO, or a PA 1x Micro Prism. As soon as PA gets off their asses and offers the 3x Micro Prism with a green reticle, I'll be adding a few of those on rifles that currently have older non-ACSS 1-4 LPVOs.

Re: Your AR optics, irons, RD, Holo, Scope
I*m with Ex-Flyguy, if I could pick only 1 optic it would be 1-4 with illuminated reticle. The 1-4 gives great eye relief even on 4x setting in case you don*t have a perfect hold and cheek weld.
My comparison is against Eotechs which I got rid of and red dots with magnifiers which I have on a pistol.

Re: Your AR optics, irons, RD, Holo, Scope
I run rds on my SBR*s, Eotech*s and trijicon MRO*s. My 14.5* LMT has a 1x4 and have a 16* SPR with a 4x16. It all depends what the main purpose of the gun is imo.
It*s tough to beat a quality rds for basic all around use but a 1x4 or even a 1x6 or 1x8 will work just as good if you prefer an optic.

Re: Your AR optics, irons, RD, Holo, Scope
Standard irons and a cheap $20 ebay open style reflex sight ftw.
Long distances (>100yds) i like the Vortex diamondback scopes. The LR308 wore one. I’ve run a vortex viper, not bad but not worth $220 to me. Same with the aimpoints i’ve shot, not worth $400+
