Default Canadian buying firearms in PA

hello im from canada going back and forth between newfoundland and pennsylvania. my wife is from and lives in PA and im currently waiting for my permanent residency that could take up to 2 years. My question is if i have a hunting license in PA does that allow me to purchase firearms and have access to them in our home.

I know non residents cant buy guns but reading through regulations it says a non resident of the USA and PA can buy guns and ammunition if you have a valid hunting permit in the state.

its obvious to me now that US and canadian gun regulations are written by the same bunch of idiots

im not looking for legal advice obviously but if anyone else has been in a similar situation or anyone has any info on who i could contact to get the right answer any help would be much appreciated.

Yes, you are correct -- having a valid hunting license is the easiest of several ways that enable you to purchase firearms, even handguns, as a non-resident alien.

There are many past threads about it, many contain good info. Here is a relatively recent one: https://forum.pafoa.org/showthread.php?t=355551

If anyone knows, would The O.P. TheCyaba poster be able to pass a NICS or PICS inquiry. Not being a US citizen, I would imagine he isn't researchable in the US data search base the Gov, uses. Yes/No ?

I forget who and what the deets are but IIRC, one or two of our regulars posted about getting stuff for non-residents, like students.
