Success stories with selling on ARMSLIST?
Has anyone had any luck buying a single month of ARMSLIST membership and selling a couple guns? If yes did you have to ship them?
Any general feedback on how that’s gone would great. Thanks!

Re: Success stories with selling on ARMSLIST?
I don't ship firearms, just my personal preference. i have listed firearms and sold them in person, and found firearms and bought them in person. List your phone number if selling, that way people without a paid membership can get in touch with you. I have a textfree number on my iphone's textfree app that way it doesn't give out my real number, and i don't have a risk of being harassed by people.

Awesome idea. Thanks for your input. I really don*t want to ship. Was curious if the buyer pool was large enough to have enough *locals* to draw from.
As a whole the gun market seems super saturated right now.

It depends on your area and how far you're willing to drive to meet up with a potential buyer. I have also used the classified section in this forum successfully and i've never been murdered.

Re: Success stories with selling on ARMSLIST?
I don't find Armslist all that intriguing. You have to be a member to list and to view (although my old account seems to work fine for viewing for whatever reason). Which leads to a smaller pool of customers. And the forced membership didn't really reduce the scams too much.
If I'm buying a gun related thing in PA, here and PennsWoods/Rennug are my go to places.

I've used the pafoa.org classified section successfully more than once, and recommend trying here first, check my feedback below.

I can say that I've probably sold more items on this forum than anyone else and will say ArmsList is worth the membership.
If you are selling rare items, the buyers are better on ArmsList. I sold $13k with ArmsList, so if I was in the market again, I'd join back up. You will get scammers there as well, but there are scammers here as well.

Re: Success stories with selling on ARMSLIST?
I've purchased quite a bit here, ARFcom, Armslist, and pennswoods. A lot of it depends on your gun, and your intended audience.
For the Love of Pete, if you use Armslist or Pennswoods; slip your phone number into the ad. Spell it out, space it out... Something. If you use Penn'swoods, slip your phone number into the ad. There is legitimately two guns on Pennswoods RIGHT NOW that are 'buy on sight' guns for me, but the sellers aren't looking at their messages in the Pennswoods internal message service. One of them is painful to see and no one is answering me!!!!Something clever belongs here. Same screen name at ARFCOM.
