This is a funny Monday meme... but what would cause this?

Because it happened to me twice yesterday.

2 different brands of ammo. Happened with both, so likely not an ammo issue (though it's possible)

In both cases the spent casing fully extracted from the chamber and the BCG came back far enough to cycle the next round. But the spent casing just didn't eject outward and clear the area in time for the new round to cleanly push into the chamber.

I was shooting with a friend and both times the friend was shooting it. So it COULD be user error but hell if I can figure out what the shooter could have done wrong to cause that.

I loaded all the magazines. Not like the friend was loading his wrong.

I have never had this happen when firing this rifle. But my friend had it happen twice in 30 rounds. That is the only reason I will entertain user error.

It wasn't rapid fire. Each round had plenty of time to cycle properly.

BCG was running wet. I even reoiled it after the first jam to make sure and then it happened again 5 minutes later.

Rifle was cleaned well a few days earlier.
