Lockboxes at Media (DELCO) Courthouse Moved/Gone

Alright, y'all,

I posted back in July, 2017, about locating and using the DELCO courthouse lockboxes. Had to take Mom there last week for some paperwork and the building that had the boxes is gone, literally blank ground with a fence around it. I keep a lockbox in the car now, so I stayed legal, but I dislike disarming in public view.

Does anyone know to where they may have relocated their legally required lockboxes? It would seem prudent to have them my the main (M-F) entrance AND at the metal detector at the .gov building (weekend) entrance.

Statute requires them to be "at or within the building". I would file a Right To Know request with the county in regards to their existence and/or location as well as the apparent lack of required posted notice. This will compel an official response rather than getting the runaround if asking in person or by phone. If the official response is "They don't exist", then it's time to hammer the county commissioners.

Be sure to reference "18 Pa.C.S.A. §913" in your documents.

I don't know, but I imagine a call to the sheriff's office will provide the answer.

I remember them being in a building around the corner from the court house.
I have to renew my carry license soon.
