Exclamation PA Game Commission Glock Bid

Does anyone know what in the world the game commission plans on doing with Glock 44s?

Training gun? I believe they use the Glock with 357sig caliber. I would imagine that round is expensive and might be hard to find. So .22lr would be an alternative for training. Who knows though?

They are only getting 52 of them.

I am guessing training guns. They can't be for carrying as there are about 250 game wardens in PA. But I am sure there are no more than 50 going through training at any one time.

Possibly them might have a few at each station(?) for things as dispatching animals? But I can't imagine anything they would need to dispatch they couldn't use a larger Calber

There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Tell me, where do you see PA state tax payer dollars in this:

Funded primarily by hunting and furtaker license sales; State Game Lands timber, mineral, and oil/gas revenues; and a federal excise tax on sporting arms and ammunition [Pittman*Robertson Act]; the Commission is almost entirely supported by hunters and trappers, or assets that have been procured with license dollars. The Commission does not receive state General Fund appropriations. More than half its annual revenue comes from license sales, a relatively fixed income source. License fees cannot be increased without approval of the General Assembly, and fee increases have historically come only about every 10 years.

I did not say Pa. taxpayer dollars. I said taxpayer dollars. As a taxpayer myself, I help fund the corrupt bunch of morons known as the pgc through a few of the things you cited though their propaganda web site.

Just use a 22 rifle, why lose velocity. Aint they exempt from open carry of a rifle anyway in game lands. I don't buy the training with 22 thing anymore. You must train with the caliber you will be using, period.

Breaking in the n00bs? Surprisingly, I'm sure there are people that want to be a bunny cop that have never shot a gun before. lol Even then, if you're a primarily rifle or shotgun shooter, transitioning to a pistol can be a big learning curve.
