    Default Ballester Molina's

Anyone know anything about them beyond the basics? I saw this ad on GB and thought they looked familiar, so I checked one of my Ballester's and it has the exact same markings and serial number is 3 digits away from the pair.
Was looking to get some more info. on them to see if the seller is just reaching or if they really are part of "only 10 made" with these markings and somewhat more valuable?

I know that you're already planning on buying them, just in case. ;-)

Behave - lol. I did chat with the guy about the pair. Just not sure I buy the "rarity" of them? Or, even if only 10 were really marked this way, does that make them worth more? When I bought mine a couple years back, I commented that I had never seen one marked like this - at least now I know what it means/where it's from. My other two are each marked with Federal Police markings or Military markings so rounds out the group a bit!

I'm sorry, but $4800+ for two consecutive s/n Ministry of Public Works Ballester Molina 45s is pure wishful thinking. I can't see an MOP stamped BM bringing more than $100 over avg current price, and that's after finding the right buyer. JMO,

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I figured the uniqueness maybe added a little to the value, but I would think $1000 would be high end and probably more like $750 - $800 ish each.
    Thanks!

$4800 for a Ballester Molina better mean that it comes with papers from the Argentine government saying they were made with steel from the Graf Spee.

Good Lord. When I bought my two Ballester Molinas, several years ago, they were nowhere near the price that I just saw on Gunbroker. I actually like the way that they shoot, but they are heavy and a bit clunky. I wouldn't pay those prices (cheapest on GB was $850) today.
