got my LTCF today!

After buying a case of 7.62x39 and ordering a Saiga-12 at the local fun shop, I went to the courthouse to get my license to carry. Sheriff asked me if I was 21 or older, a resident of the county, etc... I filled out the app while he was running the background check. Then he took my picture, I paid him 30 bucks and he gave me a fancy credit-card style LCTF and I was out in 15 minutes! Now I need a handgun...

Right now I'm looking at those 9mm Kel-tecs to start but eventually I think I'll go with a Kimber Ultra or Pro-carry, I guess it really depends on what fits me well, I'll need to try out a bunch after the Christmas shopping is done with. I definitely want to go larger than 9mm, but I think a P-11 might be a good start and then a good back-up gun.

Yes, the P11 is a fine gun to start on. And ammo is cheap. Would be a nice gun to pickup to start. Then move on from there.
