Bill Maher is not a sensible Liberal or a classic liberal. Modern Liberalism does not create sensible people, and Maher loves big government intervention. The ONLY reason he's being a contrarian now is because he sees the Democratic Party embracing it's wildly extremist Left Wing and knows it's going to hurt their chances of staying in power. He WANTS Democrats to be in power and he agrees with 90 percent of their policies. If he could have Obama in office forever he would be a happy camper. I think it's a good thing that maher is calling out the insanity among Democrats right now as well as the "woke-ism" infecting our society, but he's not doing it because he loves and believes in America as envisioned by the Founders, he's doing it because he loves big government Socialism and never wants it to be threatened or eroded .
