    - CZ97BD (in the gun library but still a very good deal) - 45

    - Savage 10FP LEO in 223 & scope
    - Savage in 30-06 - cant recall model just now & scope

I would never "buy" from Cabelas
Yep same here with the travel. I usually split cards up between Lowes and Cabelas. Lately though I have been using the points on hotel stays.

Cabela's gun prices are pretty ridiculous, but thanks to price matching and some discounted gift cards I was able to pickup up a 22 and a 9 for a total of $250 out-of-pocket.

So today was my first experience picking up firearms at Cabela's. Ho-Lee-s**t. What a cluster****. Very reminiscent of a day at the DMV. 1 hour to pickup ammo at customer service. Another 3.5 hours to go through the process of picking up the 2 firearms I ordered online. The gentleman at the counter said if I came "on a random Wednesday" instead of the day after Xmas, I would have "only waited 1.5 hours." Only?! It takes 20 minutes at my local FFL and 10 of that is just me BS'ing with the guys that own the shop. I will never pick up anything there again. I'd rather pay whatever extra it costs me to ship to my FFL.

I just had a lower shipped to an FFL and I hit my stopwatch after he took my completed paperwork.
    Under 4 minutes.
And that included the time it took him to walk the 30' to and from his house.
(I filled it out in my car in his driveway and waited while he went in to run it)
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

For the most part I've been very happy with their service online and by phone. The only exception there was an order of a particular sale ammo that was canceled four times. Eventually, I discovered they only had 2 boxes in stock at a single store and that store was not permitted to ship the ammo to me. My experience picking up guns in store has been mostly crap though. My shortest wait was about 30 minutes. My longest was over 6 hours. Most are about 1-1.5 hours. Meanwhile, my local FFL has me out the door in under 10 minutes and it could probably be 5 if I wasn't such a social MF.
