On a Saturday, they are probably stacked 4 or 5 deep at the gun counter. Answering the phone would be an insult to everyone that already made the drive and was standing in line.

I won*t do it either, but if I*m in line waiting to be served anywhere, from the butcher counter to the Cabela*s, letting me stand while the help answers the phone is bullshit.

When I worked retail, the policy was to take care of the customer standing in front of you, because they have money, and they're right there, in front of you, waiting to pay. The guy on the phone, probably isn't going to show up.

I went to Hamburg to buy a TNW Aero today in 45acp... the site said they had 3, got there and they couldn't find 2 of them so i got the display... then waited for my text for 2 hours. If i didn't use their credit card like a savings account i would never go there again either

Their online system told me they had limited availability for the gun I wanted and none of the gun in FDE. When I got there, they had FDE. Cannot rely on their system to reliably tell you what is in stock or low availability.

My point was I bought many guns at the Pre Bass Pro Cabelas and one was always able to get through. I tried several times today but couldn't get anyone who could answer basic questions.

They always had people in the back who were in front of a terminal who could answer questions as to how many guns of a certain type were in stock.

I finally took a drive out there a few years ago after hearing so much about the place.I wasn't really impressed with anything besides their fake animals and the aquarium full of muskies.
