Re: PA > MD with ccw
Very specific on the 'In or around State-owned public buildings and grounds,' huh? Like on a roadway? Eating at a restaurant 'near' a DMV office? Parking next to a state office building?
Or 'Within 1,000 feet of a demonstration in a public place.' Just unknowingly walking within a block or two of a demonstration?
We all know what this is about.

Re: PA > MD with ccw
The devil's in the details and requires accessing the individual codes.
For demonstrations the conditions require direct notification before §4-208 would apply:
Md. CRIMINAL LAW Code Ann. § 4-208
(b) Prohibited. --
(1) This subsection does not apply to a law enforcement officer.
(2) A person may not have a firearm in the person's possession or on or about the person at a demonstration in a public place or in a vehicle that is within 1,000 feet of a demonstration in a public place after:
(i) the person has been advised by a law enforcement officer that a demonstration is occurring at the public place; and
(ii) the person has been ordered by the law enforcement officer to leave the area of the demonstration until the person disposes of the firearm.Last edited by tl_3237; July 25th, 2022 at 09:42 AM.

Re: PA > MD with ccw
I heard a rumor that MD is denying the training exception for veterans if your didn't have an infantry billit or it's been too long since separation or you didn't document pistol qualification.
Anyone hearing anything about this?
This is rumormill stuff. I have no first hand verification.
Obviously if they try that it is a violation of law since the exemption is codified in Maryland law
