Several House Democrats, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), were arrested by Capitol Police Tuesday at a protest on the House steps against the Supreme Court’s ruling to overturn the federal right to abortion.

Other members who were seen being detained by officers included Reps. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY), Nydia Velazquez (D-NY), Jackie Speier (D-CA), Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-NJ), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), and Alma Adams (D-NC). Capitol Police confirmed they had made 34 arrests, including 16 members of Congress, citing violations of laws against crowding, obstructing, or incommoding. The police force did not specify who was arrested and who was released after being escorted away.

She then spent the rest of her day making tic tok and twitter vids about how she was violently sexually harassed and the Capitol Police were right there and did nothing about it. The Bronx and Queens lawmaker was gently escorted away by a Capitol Police officer — along with fellow city Rep. Carolyn Maloney — after blocking traffic outside the court building.

AOC kept up the charade of being restrained for a few steps before raising her fist to supporters watching from the sidewalk.

The clip spread like wildfire and conservative commentators were quick to chime in.

“AOC pretended to be in handcuffs when she was escorted away from the Supreme Court,” the official account for the conservative paper Washington Free Beacon tweeted.

“Oh my gosh @AOC faking handcuffs,” wrote Republican Commentator Matt Whitlock. “This is too much.”

“The Capitol Police must have put invisible handcuffs on @AOC!” tweeted political analyst Carmyn Kinsey.
