10/22 - 26" OAL question
I have a Ruger 10/22 with the factory 18" barrel in a PMACA chassis.
It has a "buffer tube" and a an adjustable carbine stock. The buffer tube doesn't actually house anything. But does have a castle nut holding it in place.
The length from the barrel to the back of the chassis is 26".
My understanding is that i should be measuring to the back of the buffer tube on a carbine like an AR15.
Does the same hold true in this case? I know. It seems like this should be so cut and dry, but being that the buffer tube is sort of removable without sacrificing function of the rifle... Damn NFA being so complicated.
If so, i should be good to go to get a 16" barrel?
Thanks!

Re: 10/22 - 26" OAL question
Since you are talking about a rifle ( not a pistol or firearm) I believe you would include the buffer tube in oal
