    Full auto and suppressed.
Targetmaster in Chadds Ford will only allow .223/5.56 that was purchased from them *on that trip*, ostensibly to prevent steel core.

National only requires ammo purcashed there for rental guns, and no Steel core , AP or API.

That's not true I know of ranges where the backstop is rated for 50bmg but they don't allow rifle caliber because of damage to target holder/systems.

I wouldn't trust unknown loads in my guns either...

    Perfectly reasonable, IMO...

Surprised they allow 9mm. C'mon man those'll blow an entire lung out and pierce a tank.

Very true, I usually tell people that pistol caliber rounds can damage the target holders/carriers/rails etc... but rifle caliber rounds can destroy them.

First hand knowledge, one of our snipers decided to hip shoot his .308 sniper rifle and hit the target carrier in our indoor range - destroyed it completely!

We don't need to discuss why he was doing that...

I was at a local club outdoor range about noon time a few years ago, firing at a dark spot / rock in the 100 yd berm. The then-club president, who looks upon the organization and ranges as his personal property, pulled up in his F150 and started shrieking that I had to shoot at a paper target. I safed the weapon, removed the chambered cartridge and magazine, and responded that I was interested in seeing where the shots were hitting.

"But it's not safe! You MUST shoot at a paper target!"

"Tell me, (Mr. President) where do the bullets go once they punch through the paper?

    Stood there fishmouthing.

"Further, there is nothing in that posted sign, or in the club rule book about not shooting at the berm. Do you have earplugs to wear? I'm going hot."

Good reason to have .22 and 9mm AR's.
