Assorted colors and sizes upwards of 450 lbs. Bears are very prolific in surrounding community's ,RT 423 Rt196 & Rt 191, Tobyhanna State park is abundant with the bears too. Go Get them Hunters 1

Pennsylvania has the largest Black Bears in the lower 48 states.

I see them fairly frequently on my way to wallenpaupack. Come season.....they gone. At least not where i'm hunting

The season will be here before we know it. We can only hope that we get some snow for rifle season.

I have had two face to face encounters with bears this year.

First one I was driving into town, sun was shining low in the sky and along the road was a bear sitting in the bush, with his big noggin head sticking out. Looked like he was grinning just soaking in the sun. I idled right past him, he seemed happy as a pig in shit.

Next one I was driving my Kubota RTV middle of the day, came into a clearing and there was a big boy right there walking along about 50 ft away. I kept driving past him but he seemed a bit surly so I turned towards him and started blaring the horn and he took off towards the neighbors who were having a cookout.

I need to pull my trail camera cards to check recent activity.

This fellow shows up on my cams frequently and I startled him from the brush one day while cutting trees.

I believe we*re going to try and hunt him this year
