When hunting small game using a shotgun with a tube magazine semiautomatic or pump the gun can only have two in the magazine and one in the chamber. There has to be a plug in the magazine tube to allow only two in the tube. Three rounds for deer hunting shouldn't be that hard to go to for semiautos.

the weird part of the small game thing is when you use a rimfire rifle there is no mag limit.

And miss the squirrel up in the tree and where does that bullet go?
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Up to 1 1/2 miles away, according to the old 50 round Remington boxes.

Nor is there a mag limit for semi auto shotguns for big game hunting in PA. Blood MUST be flowing through the forests already!!! [/shockface]

What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms!

If you*re normal it hits the tree. I hunted a lot of squirrels at Nockamixon and I*m always careful not to take a shot unless there*s a substantial part of the tree right behind the squirrel to stop the bullet.

Yes, that's very nice, but you are not the usual dangerous hunter we are being told about.

No, I*m not. Nevertheless, there*s dangerous hunters out there, I*ve run into a few. I realize hunting isn*t a right, we hunt at the pleasure of the king. One of the firearms I would like to hunt with just happens to be a very popular firearm for personal and home defense.

It would be nice to have it as an option for hunting as well as self defense. I have a far higher hit potential in a defense situation with an ar with a red dot than I do with a Fuddaction 3006.

I'd love to hear FJB's description of what a 30-06 can do.

The shotgun mag limit is carry over from migratory game bird regs
