Default PA Hunting License Web Site and so it goes . . . . .

    PA-Hunt.jpg

Why after forty years on working for the Government, and many of those in IT, would I think today would be any different! Not worried, I will get my Hunting license and doe tag, the system ain't that broke. But I am # 69,640 and there are 63,620 ahead of me. Not going to sit around all day for the queue to clear. So since they turned the page hot, they have processed 10K licenses, should take most of the day to clear the backlog.

I find this humorous, anybody got any toilet paper?

Why do you need to buy your hunting license on the first day?

well 1 anterless tag is allowed to be purchased as well today for residents and depending on where you hunt there could be the concern of a sell out.

You do not except if you are looking forva doe tag in a county with limited tags available, you wait.
    First come first served.

If I was only trying for a 2A or 2B doe tag. I wouldn't even try now.
This time Im.looking for a 2E so will wait.

    Only 3500 before me.

I was on at 8am with 5000 ahead of me. I actually had a 2G tag in my cart, went to checkout and got an error message from the site. It crashed, but let me proceed to checkout again then just kicked me out. Now I'm back inline with 77k ahead of me.

I spent less time just filling out the red envelopes and sending them on all my tags last year.

Could be their way of keeping you from hunting.

I'm right at about 925 before my turn.
    I.logged in at 8:01.

I can't wait to see how the PGC reacts to this early trial run.

I'll see at what time they email me,if I get thru the process without a crash or getting bumped.
Now, I wonder if you do not get a tag of your choice due to system failure, if they would issue you a tag anyway.

I'll take a acreenshot of the application before venturing into the phase of opening the cart to pay.

Sooner or later ( well, probly later) Ill.find out.

I love how people are defending the pink envelopes. Those should have been done away with years ago. The problem is not that they got rid of the old system, it's that they implemented the new system. Why do we have to choose between antiquated systems or modern systems that don't work? I don' think the PGC is run by Elmer Fudd. It's rune by Wiley Coyote. Everything they try blows up in their face

So, everything worked and I got a 2E antlerless permit along with my old mans hunt license.

With my original queue number at just over 10K it took 5 hours to be able to.log in and a few minutes to check what I wanted and pay for the doe tag.

I've had some experience in hurrying up to wait in the military.

Hopefully, given this first attempt to streamline ( ha) the system, changes will.be made to better handle the huge number of people trying to get their tags.

Maybe a split of regular and antlerless or by WMU on different specific days could work.

    Good luck to.people still trying.
