k, heres the situation, I am really tired of having to wait to get in the woods so I am picking up a muzzleloader from my nephew that he no longer wants, it's a traditions sporter .50 cal w/scope, it's a 209 ignition, and he told me it needs a new breech plug, which i see only runs about $10-12.

Here's the issue, I have never used a muzzleloader and not sure what else I will need beyond the powder and sabots and primers, will probably use pyrodex or 777 pellets, not planning on more than 75-90 gr.

what size sabot should be used?

does anyone have a basic setup that they like and keeps fouling to a min?

well, basically just school the muzzleloader newbie.

i live in carlisle if you want i am willing to meat you somewhere and show ya how it all works.i recommend lose powder though.but thats just my opinion.and i have severel different types of bullets you are welcome to try.
