Could be that they live in Philly. Many used to, including myself. I fled about 10 years ago. Was on Oxford Circle for many years, until it became too dangerous to leave my house after dark. Who wants to live in a war zone? If your assertion is correct, I hope they can eventually escape!

Not starting a new thread for this but another LTCF holder involved in shooting...this time in a road rage incident in Center City. The argument for "good guys with guns" keeps getting weaker...

Just because there is a new report doesn't mean it is wide spread.

BUT it does get a headline no matter how unusual.

Nothing good happens after midnight. Nothing good happens in Philly. Looks like there were already 2 warnings this guy should have taken but didn't.

Went to see a concert with my daughter about a week and a half ago, week night evening at the Met. Only time I wasn*t armed was from parking lot to the venue - about two blocks. All the kids along the way were excited and oblivious - all the adults taking them to the concert were on edge. The looks of resentment from the locals was readily apparent - hate just hangs in the air. There was a police presence when we exited the theater - small consolation. Had my head on the swivel at every red light. Good news is my daughter now understands the concerns I had going - and what it takes to stay safe.
