LTCF holder shot at Penn's Landing
Story is short on details but a guy with a carry license supposedly got out of his car down at Penn's Landing in Philly (Delaware River waterfront tourist area) to retrieve his girlfriend's dropped cellphone. A group of teens thought he was a threat so they shot him, hitting him in the shoulder.
So, was he simply OC'ing? Did he get out of his car holding his gun for some reason? Did he point it at them? I guess the moral of the story is just stay the hell out of Philly, armed or not.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police now say an overnight shooting at Penn's Landing was a case of mistaken identity, not a robbery as originally believed.
The shooting happened along the Chestnut Street Bridge leading to the waterfront above Columbus Boulevard at about 12:30 a.m.
A police official says that a man who was licensed to carry a gun hopped out of his car to pick up a cell phone his girlfriend dropped.
A group of teenagers nearby felt threatened after seeing the gun, police say, and they opened fire at least five times.
The victim, in his 30s, was shot once in the shoulder.
He was taken to the hospital and was reported to be in stable condition.
The man's name has not been released.

The account I read was that one of the punks went after the dropped phone and a struggle over the phone ensued resulting in the punk shooting the victim.

I'd say it would be best if teens were forbidden to own. Oh, wait...nevermind. Hmmm...how could they know that they felt threatened if no arrests were made and teens were forbidden from owning? How do they know they were teens and not just young looking men?

Re: LTCF holder shot at Penn's Landing
in 2021, 577 murders, 2300 shootings, probably 10s of thousands of assaults and strong-arm robberies, many of which are unreported, a DA that refuses to prosecute minorities in many cases, and a mayor that believes systemic white racism is our biggest problem.
And yet people still blithely go into that City for entertainment, shows, restaurants, and all believe it can't happen to them.
I just don't get it!!! Must be social Darwinism in action!
