    Only way i can see it being an issue is if he’s got it in the bound books, rather than actually selling it “private sale”

    My understanding is if he takes it in as inventory, he has to do a traditional transfer. If he*s selling one from his personal property, he could a ftf. The aft would really frown on more than a couple or 3 per year ftf from an ffl- if they found out about it.
