Is the 70-90 days by statute?
My understanding is that there is no statutory limit, the MSP state 90 days as a general reference, but ongoing feedback from many currently going through the process indicate an actual wait of approximately 70 days right now.

Received my approval notification in 50 days. Still waiting on NJ that was submitted in August.

Wow good for you going through all that for both states... I would never find the time / be able to justify it for how often I travel to both

Since my last post, I have learned that "the MDSP Licensing Division has a mandated window of 90 days to act on a wear and carry permit", per the MDSP themselves. However, they don't state when that clock starts.

I submitted my app last week (the 11th), and today, the status changed from "submitted" to "accepted". The next step is for my application to be assigned to an investigator, at which time I will receive another notice of the change in status.

I've lived within 10 miles (or less) of the MD border for most of my adult life. There have always been choices to be made. Since June, the list of possible options and potential associated outcomes has shifted slightly.

Yes. There are no pre-requisites imposed in regards to what gun is used for the live-fire.

And while I don't get into discussions like "this person shouldn't be allowed to carry a gun", if you cannot pass the live fire (https://mdsp.maryland.gov/Organizati...%20(2).doc.pdf), you should truly consider practicing more before carrying *anywhere*.

I sent my application in in mid September and was approved 63 days later. My card arrived in the mail 4 days after that.

Training cost me "only" $150, plus time and gas money. Application fee was $75 I think, and I believe I got my fingerprints done for $60. So my expenses were at the low end.

Next step is to get my LTCF. What's that, $25?

We are expecting some fairly serious attempts at infringement when the Legislature meets in January. They are going to attempt some absurd New York style "sensitive places" extensions, the exact thing Justice Thomas warned was unacceptable.
