2022 / 2023 venison freezer candidates

I got a shot of 2 brand new fawns and mom today.

I'll probably knit them sweaters since they are so cute..

Bucks are developing their head gear..
I have 4 developing but looks like 2 for now will be legal.
1 button I doubt will do much this year.

I'll isolate the shots and post pics in a day or so and then try to follow them through the growth period.

I have 3 cameras out now with a couple more to follow in a few weeks.

I've been lucky enough to score a backyard buck for the last 5 years and figured sooner or later it'll dry up. Hope it's later.

Anyone else watching any antler development yet?

I*ve got some does with fawns but no rascals with head gear yet. Now Turkey*s are another thing, lots of turkeys.

Keeping my eye on the fires out in New Mexico, had a 25 thousand acre one about 20 miles south of where we*ll be. I*m keeping my fingers crossed that we still can make it to the ranch. The outfitter lost his public land area burned in the Hermit fire.

I*m working on my 308 winchester and 7mm mag with the hammers, season is right around the corner.

This nontypical guy showed up a few times although I can't get a good frontal pic to see the shape of the rack.

Almost looks like 2 double brow tines.
I'll have to put a sacrificial camera down.low at face level tomorrow.
