Default THE SEMANTICS OF CIVILIAN FIREARMS EDUCATION (from PDN)

I found this article to be interesting and pertinent to all gun owners. I like many (and as discussed in the article) am a vet and also former law enforcement, and I found the transition of using "firearms' instead of "weapons" difficult. This was jammed down my throat by the NRA, where I just obtained all my instructor certs, having only had the military certs prior. https://www.personaldefensenetwork.c...campaign=a6135

There are many terms used commonly that "firearms" enthusiasts should avoid since they've become so misused by the anti-rights crowd.

"Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities".

Control the terminology, control the society, or at least heavily influence it. The creator(s?) of the term "gun violence" were quite successful in crafting, selling, and imposing the term on society that has no opposite term that is easily defendable nor easily definable. Maybe "guns save lives" but that is more of a slogan. Maybe gun ownership. I am a big believer in debates....real structured debates where there are opening arguments and rebuttals, where people can hear both sides and come to a decision as a result. It seems that those who create these control terms have no interest on debating them, just demonizing the other side.

The left has been bastardizing the English language definitions of words to destroy and confuse. No one can win an arguement with known facts, based on long standing Dictionary definitions, if the definitions of words are constantly changing to whatever they want.
Lower your expectations to zero and you'll never be disappointed.
