Cop shoots, kills man who charged him with hatchet
This is bizarre. Cop is conducting a traffic stop on a suburban street in Naperville, IL when some nut job unrelated to the stop drives up, stops, jumps out of his car and charges the officer with a hatchet. The 22-year veteran cop had great situational awareness, immediately drawing and firing. A little research reveals the dead hatchet man was 28 y/o Edward "Charlie" Samaan, a 5'5" body builder with a history of domestic assault and battery on a peace officer.
