A Glock G19 was the answer that NO gun shop suggested.

"Here, the ladies need a REVOLVER because (some dumbass reason)!"
Fair, and I think the moral of the story, have the shooter pick out the gun / rent some!!!

    Why all the revolver hate?

If a woman doesn't have the strength to pull a hammer back (or rack a slide on a semi-auto, or clear a jam) then she has no business having a pistol.

Revolvers ALWAYS go bang. And if she needs more than 6 rounds then she's screwed anyway.

A person should use whatever weapon they are effective using. There are revolvers without external hammers. If you are cocking the hammer to fire the revolver in defensive mode you are using it wrong. You should be able to use the trigger in double action to make your first shot. That's why they began making revolvers that way.

You'll not see me saying that she can't rack the slide on a G19 - because she can.

It took a lot of trying them on for size before discovering that the Glocks were easier than all the other auto pistols she tried out.

Your comment about the trigger is asinine. (even more so than the "6 rounds" comment - but maybe that was a joke)
A heavy, double action trigger... so if someone can't manipulate a heavy, double action trigger well enough to hit what they are aiming at (because they are pulling/jerking/moving as they struggle, they shouldn't own ANY pistol? Even one that they CAN operate easily?
    Good grief.

    "Dumbass" here...

Unsure where you read a "trigger" comment from me? Nevertheless, happy to hear that Mrs. EM is good with the Glock.

I'm a dumbass apparently. You said "hammer", not "trigger".

It's just that every stereotype about women needing a revolver for "reasons" was a massively over-generalized bunch of bullshit.
