Wow---a pro gun NJ.com article?
Under the radar, Hudson gun owners arm up for self-defense
Anna Cerrato is arming herself. For more than six months, the North Bergen resident has been gathering the materials she’ll need to apply for a gun permit.
The decision came after she witnessed a Black Lives Matter protest in the fall of 2020 while waiting for a bus in Times Square, near where she works.
People participating in the protest saw it as a march for justice. Cerrato saw something different.
“These protesters, people who were burning things down, were screaming in my face and it was so violent,” Cerrato said. “I’ve been born and raised in this area all of my life, and I’ve seen New York in many different conditions and now I’m seeing this. This is getting really dangerous again.”
While Gov. Phil Murphy and others talk about making it harder for New Jerseyans to buy guns, some Hudson County residents are still eager to buy them – and most often, the reason they give is self-defense.
Data shows that new applications for gun permits are up across New Jersey. Although State Police don’t break down data by county, gun sellers in Hudson County report higher than average sales.

New Jersey has so many gun restrictions - state issued permits just to even purchase a firearm, I'm really stupefied as to how these law pass judicial muster. I mean clearly, "shall not be infringed" is absolutely unequivocally violated. I have to assume these laws were challenged in court at some point and somehow upheld even through levels of appeal. I guess the idea that the Constitution is the supreme law of the land is illusory.

Someone needs to 'splain to Anna that she can't take her New Joisey gun to The Big Apple.

And here's what our governor has planned for all the gun owners. The Assembly committee hearing on all these bills is Wednesday.

I suggest you pay some attention. What happens in NJ doesn't stay in NJ.
