    Sure. They can't make it at Lake City Arsenal. I'm sure Winchester has other production facilities. In fact they could label all their stuff .223 Rem instead of 5.56 NATO

    How do you suppose this will effect bids on the next ammunition contract? Chalk up another commodity the taxpayers will be paying more for.

    I couldn't give that much of a flying fart about the "green tip." All the tests I've seen on it are fairly unimpressive.

    It's more just the effect of taking that much production capability offline, and what effect that will have on the price/availability of all varieties of 5.56/.223. I have no idea whether or not Winchester can ramp up their other facilities.

    I generally load everything to avoid shelling out the whole big $ chunk at once. The quantities I would want to stock make it generally unsuitable to come out of the budget otherwise.
