Default Help with value of two rifles

    Hey Everyone,
I was given two rifles a few years ago, and I'm going to be selling them in the near future.
I could use some help determining their value.
I'll post this in two parts so I can include the photos.

First is a Glenfield (Marlin) Model 30 Lever action in 30-30 Win, JM Stamped, Serial number puts it in 1970.
Has a Tasco 4x30 scope mounted.

The second is a Remington 760 Gamemaster, Pump Action .30-06, barrel stamp puts production in June of 1976.
Has a Leupold 3x9 Vari-X II scope mounted.

looking at gunbroker, id say 700 for each. Accessories don't factor into pricing.

That seems a bit high. But prices these days continually surprise me.

Are those SOLD prices or asking prices? Asking prices are not an indicator of guns worth normally.

Depending on condition, in today's market I'd say $500 to $700 or whatever someone is willing to pay for them.

I recently sold 3 760 pumps for friends.

First one ( 30.06) was in fair to good but only got $400.
A year later, a .35 rem also in fair to good got 450 and the last one in very good got 500.

The last 2 had swing away mounts and optics but not exceptionally good glass.

You can go to Gunbroker and search the Completed Items (Advanced Search) you will need a login to do so.

Quality older Remingtons like the 760s and JM Marlins have both been bring STUPID money the last few years, especially on auction. People get carried away with them.

I've seen several 760s fetch $1500+ on local, in person auctions, so dont sell yourself short. Caliber does matter to
a point (and 30-06s are the most common by far), but the condition and scope both look good. I'm not saying that price is typical, but it is possible.

Even the JM Marlin lever guns I've seen lately have all been in the $600-800 range, which seems crazy too.

Yup, that was one source I checked - "Sold" pricing was sort of all over the place, and I couldn't really seem to identify what was factoring in to that.
Some sold for $400, and some for $1100 with not too much of a difference in condition, as far as I could tell.
Figured I'd ask the brain trust on here as well.
    Thanks for the suggestion!
