Re: September 12 2022 Harrisburg 2A Rally
it didn't seem to make any difference , when we packed the inside so full you couldn't walk, vs a hand full of people standing on the steps. He who holds the pen does not give a shit about us, but I still think it is important to show up.

I got off cheap today, I only had to buy breakfast for 7 total. Nice to see the usual faces on the steps, plus some new ones.

Today was bittersweet. I was happy to have finally made it to one of these, but the turnout was disheartening. I wanted to stick around and meet some of you but had to rush back home.
you had a bumper sticker pinned to your hat?
(i reconized you/them/whoever from prior years)
anyway, if so. yeah im the guy who forgot to bring the parking ticket until the elevator reminded him.

did we do banner when it was indoors? it was supposed to be indoors.
i've noticed that the "ban gifts" people must get as much movement in the political circles as restoring our firearm rights, i've seen them every year i've been.
There is no way to make it out alive...

That was me. I was running late also. Great to meet you though, I always like to put faces with names on here.

Example:

Read the comments:
"I'd have taken off if i knew about it more than two weeks in advance. "
"I didn*t even know this was going on."
If we want these events to be more than park picnics, we need to have a PR gameplan. I will gladly assist. I am no PR expert, but I am more than willing to message folks around instagram and other sites to get the word out.
I personally think Caleum nailed the problem. I don't know anyone that heard about this outside of here, that I didn't tell about it. I don't think those in charge really know how to use social media at all or how to get in touch with those that do. Facebook is dead to the younger crowd.

worst attendence ever.
they used the usual "people actually work" excuse but i'm thinking its more "the government has clearly declared war on us, why try to negotiate any longer" stay home and go dark mentality or the "they obviously don't care about us or what we say or our rights, why even show up?" mentality. and i agree,
but the people are nice, it is kind of a tradition now and i really liked walking around inside,
was nice to attend metcalfe's final rally. see scavello before he retires and hopefully see brown's office before she moves into scavello's.
At least there's nowhere to go but up. I really thought it would be a little better than that. That's definitely the least amount of people I've ever seen in all the years I've gone. I think PAFOA represented at least half of the attendance too. I know I recognized half the crowd, even if I don't remember everyone's name.

Thanks for continuing to do this. I wish I could have made it. I did make the after picnic and that was a great time also. Nice to see everyone in person.
