Philadelphia Flower Show

Heading to Philadelphia Flower Show this week / has anyone gone? Are there metal detectors- I hate to go to a large gathering in Philadelphia without a concealed weapon - thanks !

I had no issues for the 2020 show in the convention center. No wands or bag checks. Was nice to be able to hit up the Reading Terminal Market that was right there also.

This year the event is all outdoors at FDR Park. And checking the website it looks like it*s a no weapons policy for the show, with scanning. That sucks and would be a no go for me.

Why is that? Have you seen the setup? When was the last time you were in that section of South Philly ?

Outdoor at FDR Park, drove past 3-4 times and saw no signs of metal detectors at the perimeter. It's a really nice area, plenty of cops around enjoy the show.

FDR Park has always been nice and peaceful when I would go there.Its certainly not Bellmont Plateau.

Yes and a Chief Inspectors son was shot and killed during a fight.

But I don*t know what Jen is trying to portray. I can pick out a dozen locations in the five county area, where a single, random act of violence occurred and I would feel totally safe returning there.
