Not so sure about the panic buying. So far there doesn't seem to be much of that according the the other GS owners I've spoken with. We'll have to see what plays out the next few days/weeks.

we will be there too! have a few military surplus rifles, lots of handguns, and some military rifle parts, etc. have a great deal on an entry level Garand if it makes it to the show. we too have not seen a rush of panic buying...yet. the Gettysburg show last weekend was extremely lackluster but that could have been for other reasons as well. hoping Oaks is worth the $2000 investment just to get there!

I have been attending all OAKs shows for the last 15 years but will probably pass on this one unless I can talk a couple friends to come along to split gas expense. Just cannot justify a 200 mile roundtrip by myself. Gas alone would cost me $50.00 before getting in the door and I'm not in dire need of any ammo etc.

yeah with the table fees, gas, tolls, meals, and hotel rooms which have doubled in price, it adds up to a tremendous amount before we sell one thing. with profit margins of $50 to $60 per gun, we have to move a shit ton of stuff to recoup that cash. we may duck out of the next oaks show if costs keep going up. Unfortunately for dealers nothing is getting cheaper and trying to explain that to people who want a 30% discount on a $200 gun only seems to make them angry for some reason.
