That is what needs to change, you want some stupid registry for a SBR/Suppressors, fine. Let me pay my $200 "registry" fee and take the gun/suppressor home the same day when the background check is completed.

I'm not advocating for a registry and would like to see it gone completely but if it is going to exist and has existed I'd like to see it improved and become a simplified process.

As far as stuff gaining popularity I'd think that's due to all the movies and games within the last 30+ years. The people that grew up watching all the cool movies with fancy guns and playing games are now at the age where they can afford to get all the cool stuff they saw in the movies or played as a kid.
They are "popular" now because whereas $200 used to be a month's salary, now it's a few hours. The only thing stopping them from being everywhere, is the long wait times
    and restrictions in some states/transport..

And the overreaching paperwork. Let's not forget that many people don't play that game.

And many people don't think a free government of the people and by the people deserves the honor of one's fucking fingerprints.

I know many will disagree but it's a personal thing. As in keeping some things personal!
Strange women lying in ponds, distributing swords, is no basis for a system of government.

Well I do think that, but I didn't want to say it because military and many other public service institutions demand fingerprints with no choice. Anyone working in schools, around kids etc. So I do understand that many people don't view it the same way that I do.

choosing to work for the government and providing fingerprints for fed checks and childline checks is vastly different than begging and bribing them for permission to exercise a right.
add to that, the paperwork is stupid and the wait time is long.

amusingly they've almost totally lost the illusion that all those background checks do anything.
it sure doesnt stop disney from employing pedos nor does it stop the fed from hiring criminals. being a criminal is practically a job requirement.
they cant even maintain their own databases as we saw with the sutherland springs church shooting.

i didn't read through all 180 posts what i did read was still at the proposal stage, have they finalized these rules?

I'm pretty certain most guests are allergic to lead. Known to be a toxin.
