Makes me wonder if I register a braced pistol with a free stamp under form 1 during the amnesty period, does it become a sbr, which I can then put a stock on it?

Good question. However, the document that leaked says that photos of pistol with the brace will be required to be submitted along with the usual stuff, so I'm doubtful that they'll let you later put a stock on it.

No it's not in effect yet. The final rule was supposed to be released around December. "Ignorance of the law is no excuse".......

The problem for democrats with executive orders is that the next president can come in and simply declare previous executive orders null and void. They are putting all this effort into something where if we get a candidate with balls (I think a Desantis would do this) it will be gone. If anyone who has a brace registers it, they will have jumped through hoops for nothing and have gotten the government involved in their life for nothing.
