I mean, I feel bad for the guys who set up their 11, 12, 14" pistols as though they were a carbine, loaded with lasers, lights, magnifiers, and all that tactical stuff that makes it a bit rough to shoot well with just a buffer tube, but that was the gamble all along.
I figured this would happen one day, so I kept my pistols to a size that's still usable without the braces.

It changes how I can shoot it, or more accurately, not shoot it at the range. If I can't shoot it shouldered, may as well just shoot pistols or carbines.

you could feasibly use an adjustable tube that's a little wider on the back end made out of a dense foam. I have several set up on different lengths it's not going to stop me from shooting them..... then there's always the "rare" chance that I won't comply. I don't shoot anywhere that cares.

That depends on the brace. Just get a pistol with a brace that uses a real mil spec or commercial carbine buffer tube. If you are going to felon, felon big, just slide that stock right on and walk around like a free man. It feels so good.

Anyone who thinks that they can get a freebee tax stamp with a pistol brace and then they can just swap it out later is smoking some of the good stuff.

The requirement will be to send a picture of your brace along with fingerprint card to the FAT, then they will determine if they will grant your brace stamp, or just come to arrest you and throw you in a hole forever without due process. It's will be different than a standard sbr stamp.
