You would think even the left would want him to define an 'assault weapon.' Then again, maybe not. He may not make the definition broad enough to encompass all guns.

Am I the only one annoyed by gas bags holding 'hearings' and making speeches instead of asking questions?

Every iota of sunlight shed on the lies of leftist organizations and people is a good use of time.

The US Senate (and Congress in general) is very bad at doing good things, investigating things, and reaching correct conclusions. Most all of the trouble in the Senate imo can be traced to the 17th Amendment.

He missed a perfect opportunity to ask

"Sir, if you are seeking go be nominated to the top seat in the BATFE, have personally called for the ban on assault weapons, and will very likely be called upon called upon by Congress to provide the techinical expertise to help define which firearms qualify as being an assault weapon, why should any member of Congress vote for you when you yourself cannot even provide to me a basic description of ehat makes a firearm an assault weapon? Wouldn't it be reasonable for the Chief officer of the BATFE to be sufficiently knowledgable of the subject to be able to clearly define such a term?"

That*s my point. He didn*t want to ask anything. He wanted to give a speech.
