As a Hawaii resident, you must first hold a license there, to qualify for the PA LTCF. Hawaii is a "may issue" state. You must show good cause, and in-state, if you manage to get one, it's only good in the county that issued it.

Unless the pending SCOTUS decision strikes down the whole "show cause" requirement as unconstitutional, I'd say odds are long that you'll easily get what you need.

    Keep your fingers crossed!
Appreciate the info. I think chances of getting a license in Hawaii are very low. I’ll prob grab the Utah license and see what happens at renewal time for both Utah and PA.

Im pretty sure that Hawaii is the Island version of New Jersey when it comes to may issue and gun control laws.

Im pretty sure Florida only recognizes their own nonresident license and no other nonresident licenses (such as AZ, UT, NH, VA being the common ones)

Of course, the real solution is for all the PA Firearms Owner's to get their act together & elect officials (including judges) that respect the US & our State Constitution. Pass a proper 'shall not be questioned' law, that reiterates the validity of and respect for OUR STATE CONSTITUTION, and this situation would not be a problem.

    Just saying ...
